Dove Prisms

Dove prisms invert the orientation of an image, so they are also called image rotation or reversion prisms. They are shaped like right angled prisms with the right angle truncated. When such a prism is rotated along its longitudinal axis, it has the interesting property of rotating a beam of light at twice the rate making wonderful beam rotators.
